"Keep Away from Children." This is the warning on the sticker of Glen and Maddox's new tools... their very own, miniature crowbars. Now, who in their right mind would give a 3- and 5-year-old their own crowbar you ask? You must not know us very well. The better question is, what project are you working on now?
Well... our neighbors are planning to burn the old house behind us, and build their dream home in that spot. Since our house is the same stone as the house to be burned (both built by the same man), and since our house isn't finished (the whole south side is siding, not stone), our neighbors offered us the rock off the old house. If we take it off, and do so before the burn date at the end of this month.
So, we have his, hers, and kids crowbars. Tyler and I spent two very sweaty days pulling rocks (we're probably 1/3 of the way done) outside, and Glen has actually done a pretty fair job pulling rocks from inside the house. He lost count yesterday after 30. Pretty admirable for a kid - and he LOVES to help.
Maddox? Not so much. He mostly sat and watched movies. The extent of his help was to load some of the smaller rocks on the trailer. Emphasis on some.
PS - we still have plenty of rocks to pull off the house. If anyone needs a work-out, give me a call. It's cheaper than joining a gym.
