It's Spring. In our part of the world, that means there is an over-abundance of the sloppy brown muck that little boys seem drawn to like nothing else. (Which means that my washing machine is working overtime.)
We had a great Spring Break, largely because there was lots of opportunity to get dirty. At the beach, Glen's favorite activity was "making a sand angel!" (I leave it to you to imagine what a wet kindergartener looks like after making said sand angel).
And at home, the boys spent a happy afternoon creating a monster truck track in the mud by the barn.

The monster truck track was not the only fun mud-related activity. We also planted much of the cold-tolerent plants in the garden (spinach, lettuce, peas, cilantro, one cucumber hill, and two pots of carrots), along with a rose tree, some pansies, and a few other bulbs (calla lilly, peonies and begonias).
And, we marveled at the new dens that Anubis has been digging. They are so deep, the boys can't quite reach the bottom/back of the den with their feet. Take a look!
Here's Maddox in Anu's newest den. Good thing he was wearing overalls, as Ty used his straps to haul him out of the den when he was done posing for his picture.
Maddox again, this time coming out of the original den site. Cerberus started the den under this old tree, and Anubis has added a room and made it deeper. Pretty fun, but lends a new perspective to dogs who dig up your yard!
