We had a perfect weekend. The weather was amazing, and we got a lot of things done around the house. The boys had swimming lessons, and we even had several hours of outside family play time on Saturday afternoon. So much, in fact, that Maddox learned to ride his bike with no training wheels!
He is such a big boy, and so thrilled with his accomplishment. On Saturday, he rode the length of the front two fields over and over and over... but didn't quite master turning, stopping, or starting. Of course, this didn't stop him from trying to keep up with Glen, which translates into attempts to clear the small jump (he fell, multiple times), and go down the small trail (we heard: "Guys! I hit a tree!" and had to rescue him).

Yesterday, however, everything clicked. Maddox figured out how to turn and stop without falling over, and even went down a couple hills. So great was his confidence, that he even started trying wheelies! In the evening, we went down to Lance and Cherry's house, and Maddox rode his bicycle the entire way, including down the hill, with no crashes. Pretty cool for a three (and three quarter) year old!
