We have about 4" of white stuff here on the hill... plus some ice, just for fun... so school is closed today. My kids were THRILLED at that announcement, and have spent the better part of the day playing outside.
It's so much fun to watch them grow, and see their imaginations expand. Here is there first new favorite activity - sledding down the slide. Maddox perfected the technique on his tummy, and Glen and Tyler built up a platform at the bottom of the slide - the better to continue sliding with.
Then, the kids slide down the hill further and end up on the water slide... sometimes, if they get the right angle, they even end up part way down the big hill. Good times.
The other fun activity has been throwing snowballs at each other, and making a snowman. This is Glen and Maddox's very first snowman that they made without ANY adult help! Awww.... I particularly like the use of the carrot for a mouth, and the bottle-cap eyes and bucket hat. Cute!
