Christmas has lots of fun traditions for our family. One of our favorites is to host a cookie decorating party for the boys. Yes - for an entire afternoon, a small army of little people have free rein with frosting and candy in my kitchen. I'll find sprinkles on the floor for weeks to come.
Maddox was especially excited to invite a couple friends from pre-school this year. That's Ryan, to his right.
Cookie decorating is serious business. I love how each kid has their own style. Glen's, no surprise, is to create perfectly symmetrical cookies with candy in places that make sense... like eyes, and buttons on a gingerbread man. Maddox goes more for quantity, and can really pack a cookie full of candy.

Aubrey was by far the most prolific cookie decorator. Here she is with a fraction of her finished products.
....And Elliette's were mostly pink. I love girls.
Another fun part of the day is to have a used book exchange. Each kid brings a wrapped book from home, then everyone opens a new book from a friend. Here's the whole gang:

And, to cap off the day, there was wrestling. Whoever says that kids getting amped up on sugar is a myth needs to come to my house for the cookie party. 'Cuz it's no myth.
