Sorry Papa, your grandson is a Democrat.

At school, Glen learned all about the Presidents.  He can recite all 44 presidents, by name, in order (just ask him - it's pretty impressive).  He knows some fun facts about presidents.  He can figure out what # a president is if you ask him (seriously - ask him which president Polk was, and he'll figure it out).

And, they had a really fun unit where the class broke into groups of four, and each group backed a stuffed animal candidate that the class ran through a presidential election and voted their new leader.  So, they learned about how presidents are elected, by electing their own.

Glen's group backed a stuffed Monkey they named Hairy.  Hairy's platform is as follows (hence the Democrat):

1 - Healthy Lifestyle
2 - Half of the tax money should go to help the homeless
3 - Better schools
4 - Make peace

Not bad from an aspirational point of view.  It was really fun to read what all of the groups came up with for their candidate's platform!
