February was all about school. The boys had a pirate themed music concert at school. They have the best music teacher - she is so creative! There was a whole story around hunting for treasure, and finding that the true treasure was friendship. They sang all kinds of pirate songs (Yo ho Yo ho was featured!), and acted out little scenes... so cute!
One of the best parts was that all the kids got dressed in pirate costumes - it was so cute to see the creativity of the kids and parents. Here are my pirates... notice the facial hair and chest hair on Maddox!
Glen had a part in the play... his scene was about pirates on an island searching for the treasure chest. He did his part and his lines perfectly!
Maddox was so sweet to watch. He paid very close attention to the teacher, and concentrated so hard on getting the hand motions correct. He knew he was supposed to pay attention, but couldn't help sneaking looks and little waves at us in the audience.
The boys also participated in wrestling camp. Both got second place, and were so proud.
