Snakes and Snails and... Frogs?

I knew it was only a matter of time. I have two boys (three if you count Tyler) and live in the country. Reptiles and bugs were going to invade my house at some point. And it appears to have started - now.

Tyler built a terrarium (basically an aquarium with water and dry spots - complete with a waterfall) with Glen and Maddox - it actually turned out really cool. Then, we needed someone to live in the terrarium. Our first "guest" is shown below:

No, that's not the terrarium - this particular friend was WAY to big for that little home (he only had one "sleepover" until we let him go outside. The boys had grand fun watching him swim in their pool, then jump out and hop across the field. Maddox could hardly run after the frog, he was laughing so hard.

Our current "guests" are approximately 15 tadpoles. I say 'approximately,' because Tyler forgot to count them before he added them to the tank. What with all the rocks and vegitation in the tank, they are now impossible to count. Let me tell you - tadpoles are really cool. We have several that are still swimming around, some that are swimming but have developed back legs, some that are swimming, but are getting front and back legs, and three (I think - again, we didn't count!) who have turned into frogs and have moved to "land."

Glen and Maddox are fascinated with the baby frogs, and can spend a happy half hour just watching them. So... our current animal count?

Two horses, two dogs, one kitten, one fish, three? frogs, twelve? tadpoles.
