Ouch

Take two rough-and-tumble boys, add bicycles, dirt bikes, scooters, woods, blackberry brambles and other "hazards" on the property, and mix in a dose of sunshine and great weather. You get a fair number of "ouch" moments. A list of our current injuries:

Glen:
Big yellow bruise under his chin. (Obtained by jumping off the deck of the new clubhouse. To give him credit - he jumped onto Tyler. The problem was, Tyler wasn't looking, and Glen's chin made contact with Tyler's head, and knocked them both to the ground.)

Small scrapes on his nose, arm, and belly. (From crashing his "bikacle" on the concrete at Grandma's house. My guess? He was probably trying to do one of his tricks - like coasting around in a circle with his feet on the handlebars.)

Large-ish scrape on his arm. (From crashing his dirt bike. When I asked what happened.... "I was trying to do a trick with my body." He was predictably more upset that the starter switch on his dirt bike broke than he was about the scrape.)

Maddox:
Scrape on tip of his nose. (From Glen accidentally smacking him in the face with a dog bowl. What Glen was doing waving the dog bowl around in the first place is beyond me.)

Bruise on forehead and fat lip. (From messing around on the kitchen counter with his legs dangling over the little chair - I told him to stop and get down - he didn't, and fell. Momma really does know best.)

Innumerable bruises on his legs. (Your guess is as good as mine on how he got these. I just hope they heal before it's time to go to the doctor again. I think they are required to ask certain questions if there are that many bruises.)

Small scrape on his foot. (From getting in the blackberries while wearing sandels.)

Tyler
Large bump on his head. (From Glen's chin - see above.)

Large bump and a scrape on his head. (From standing up too fast after ducking through the club house door, and bonking his head on the cinder blocks. He blames it on his hat - said he couldn't see that he was still under the overhang.)

Julie
Large scrape on my shin. (From standing in the wrong place when Ozzy took his foot away from the farrier. He hit my shin pretty hard and scraped all the way down.)

That's it - that I can remember. Though the tally seems to change on a daily basis.
