At his last checkup, Maddox's doctor discovered a heart murmer. We were referred to a pediatric cardiologist (scary!), and went in yesterday to have it investigated.
My little guy was so good - he let the doctor listen to his heart, and lay very still while he had his heart ultrasound a little later. I'm so proud of him!
Happy news - while Maddox does indeed have a heart murmer, it is not the kind that is at all scary. He will very likely outgrow it by his late teen years. In the meantime, there is no concern with activity level (doctor said he could be an Olympic athelete with no concerns) or anything else.
Whew!
